The nonprofit, which has been serving the community for nearly 13 years, was on the brink of shutting down last month due to a lack of funds and resources. The donors have committed to covering rent and utilities for the next six to eight months, allowing the food bank to continue its mission of providing free food and medical resources.
The food bank not only supplies free pet food and supplies to those in need but also supports temporary emergency shelters.One community member shared, "I just got a kitten for Christmas and I wouldn't be able to keep and feed it without the help from this place, and they are also going to help us get flea treatment to keep it healthy."
