The honors of lighting the second candle went to Alan Gottlieb, following Ward 3 Cleveland councilman Kerry McCormack, who lit the center candle. The remaining electronic candles will light up nightly. For only the fifth time since 1900, both Christmas and Chanukah started on Dec. 25. Chanukah continues through Jan. 2, 2025.
