The Vivian B. Adams School is hosting its first open house since COVID and the public is invited.

Michelle Mann OZARK-The Vivian B. Adams School is hosting its first open house since the COVID pandemic Thursday afternoon and the public is invited to see the renovations on campus, tour the classrooms, and listen to sounds of The Moonlighters in concert.

Under the direction of Hannah Parker, VBAS currently serves 124 individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities from Barbour, Coffee, Dale, Henry, Houston and Pike counties in an extended-year program. People are also reading… The goal of VBAS, Owens said, is to connect people to possibilities. “The mission of VBAS is to provide people with ID opportunities for a meaningful life.

Owens said that throughout the school’s 51-year history, the VBAS board has added programs and opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities as needs have been presented.
