A PSNI Inspector has described it as a 'terrifying incident'
Police have made an arrest after reports of a man in possession of a sword in East Belfast on Thursday.
Inspector Savage added: "Armed Response Officers attended and the man aged 38 was arrested on suspicion of possessing an article with a blade or point in a public place."He remains in police custody at this time. This was an example of excellent police work with our officers responding quickly and ensuring that no one was injured during this terrifying incident.
