Not only did the club manage to escape their precarious position in the relegation zone, but under coach Dan Malesela have gone on a convincing run that sees them currently occupy 10However, Siya sources have informed the crew that the club’s financial troubles appear to have stirred up again after a number of players were called into the club’s offices on Thursday.
According to the source, the affected players who have not featured as prominently this campaign were asked by the club to reduce their salaries by as much as 50%!The crew reached out to the club for comment although liaison manager, Rufus Matsena informed the crew that he was not aware of such meetings.Gallants resume their league action next Wednesday when they take on high-flying Royal AM at the Chatsworth Stadium before contesting the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals against Baroka Fc on Saturday.
