A Kaizer Chiefs star has seemingly attracted interest from a PSL rival out of nowhere, having previously been thought to be staying.
Even though there have been names linked with a move to Chiefs, the club is also set to release some.For Hlanti, it was even thought that he would not get a contract renewal last year. He eventually did, however, with Chiefs offering him a one-year extension with a further year as an option. With the club struggling again this season, it is believed that they will be looking to make some sweeping changes all round.
Hlanti has been at Chiefs for three seasons with very little effect. His lack of pace, passing and crossing ability has often frustrated the Amakhosi faithful. Additionally, at the age of 34 it was seemingly a no-brainer that it was time to move him on. “There have been a number of enquiries for the experienced campaigner from a number of PSL clubs including his former team AmaZulu who have reportedly sold left-back Riaan Hanamub to Orlando Pirates for next season.” Wrote the publication.
