... Specs for the PS5 Pro—which may release as early as holiday 2024—have leaked online. The console update is reportedly three times faster than the current model. The new model—codenamed Trinity—sounds like quite the upgrade, though similar to the PS4 Pro, it won’t be “next-gen.”The CPU is the same as the current model but has a ‘High CPU Frequency Mode’ which boosts the CPU to 3.85GHz, a 10% increase over the current model.
It sounds like the new system will also have a detachable disc drive similar to the PS5 Slim, as well as 1TB of storage space. That last detail is super disappointing, as 1TB is just not enough for modern games and honestly the only upgrade I think is really essential for the PS5—which runs just fine as it is—would be the increased storage needed to install more than five games at a time.
