The person, whom the FBI did not identify, has died. Their cause and manner of death were not immediately released.that the man who died during the FBI raid was Craig Robertson, whom federal agents received an arrest warrant for Tuesday. Robertson had posted on Sunday, “I HEAR BIDEN IS COMING TO UTAH,” according to the court document. “DIGGING OUT MY OLD GHILLE SUIT AND CLEANING THE DUST OFF THE M24 SNIPER RIFLE. WELCOM, BUFFOON-IN-CHIEF! ”
The shooting happened at about 6:15 a.m. as agents were serving arrest and search warrants at a Provo home, Sandra Barker, an FBI spokesperson with the agency’s Salt Lake City division, said. Barker did not provide an approximate address for the home or shooting scene.It’s not clear whether the person who died was armed or opened fire when the “agent-involved shooting” unfolded.
In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting is being investigated by the agency’s Inspection Division.This marks the 14th law enforcement shooting in Utah this year, according to a database maintained by The Salt Lake Tribune.
