Sask. Liberal leader Jeff Walters wants his party to grow and for voters in the province to feel they have a party that represents them.
A new logo and a new approach are in store, according to Walters, the party leader, said Wednesday. Asked if this was a revamp or a rebrand for the party, Walters said it was both, and what the party needs to do first is to become more present in the political realm of Saskatchewan.
“We are, in fact, a much different and more invigorated party than we have been in the past or were in the recent past anyway.” As Walters sees it, the provincial party has been “dormant” over the past couple of years and needs to stand up for itself and make itself heard and known to voters. He says the parties in the province have a “perfect boogeyman” in the federal Liberals and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. “Hell, half the Sask. Party are basically Liberals.”
