Bersih calls on Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to provide a plan this week, following a court decision to discharge Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on 47 corruption charges.
Electoral reform group Bersih said further delay in reforming the Attorney-General Chambers may greatly damage the credibility of the unity government.
The electoral reform group Bersih said thorough recommendations had been drawn up previously on how the separation of powers could be done. “The only action left is to implement it,” Bersih said in a statement. The application, made after representations to the AGC by Zahid’s lawyers, was granted by High Court judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah.
