Protecting the US from hackers apparently isn't in Trump's budget

Members of the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency are being forced to choose between staying at their jobs or taking a government buyout, CISA was creating during the first Trump Administration in 2018 to protect key infrastructure from cyber attacks and advise the government and its partners on building more secure infrastructure in the future.

The consequences of hollowing out or effectively eliminating key government agencies and departments don't seem to be a concern of DOGE or the Trump Administration, however. Along with CISA, staff at thehave also reportedly received the buyout ultimatum.
