Federal prosecutors want former Trump White House aide Steve Bannon to begin serving his four-month jail sentence for criminal contempt of Congress.Bannon refused to comply with subpoenas seeking his testimony and documents from a House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.
In issuing that decision, Nichols wrote that Bannon's appeal"raises a substantial question of law that is likely to result in a reversal or an order for a new trial."
