Investigation into a romantic, online relationship involving assistant district attorney and a felon widens as messages they shared are revealed.
DOTHAN, Ala. -Houston County Assistant District Attorney Mark Johnson is on administrative leave due to potential conflicts related to his online relationship with a drug defendant he could have prosecuted.
Johnson will remain on leave until the SBI probe is complete, Jones said. He had previously been suspended for one week. Based on text messages provided by Connolly to News 4 through her legal counsel, the cyber romance began in late October. On January 10, their final chat appears to have taken place as Connolly said to Johnson, “I want to see you”, and he responded “me, too.”
