A recently signed Los Angeles Kings forward will likely be out long-term after suffering an injury on the second day of training camp.
Los Angeles Kings forward Arthur Kaliyev spent most of the offseason in the rumor mill as a top trade target in the NHL. As a restricted free agent, it seemed likely Kaliyev would start the 2024-25 season with a team other than the Kings.
In an unfortunate turn of events, Kaliyev will be out indefinitely as he suffered a fractured clavicle on the second day of training camp. Kings head coach Jim Hiller said there isn’t much information available at the moment, but Kaliyev will likely be out on a long-term basis.“We don’t know exactly what that’s going to look like yet. It’s going to be some time, though.”
