Max Marsden was surfing with a friend at Lucy's Beach, located about 20 kilometres south of Geraldton, when he was bitten on his right arm this morning.When she shark swam off, Marsden told his friend to paddle in."I paddle over and helped kind of push him in a few times.Williams told 9News Marsden initially told him at him to "paddle in" after the shark swam off.

After making a tourniquet for Marsden's wound using a leg rope, the pair walked two kilometres to their car and called triple zero."He really took control of the situation as well, which was pretty amazing when you've just been bitten by a shark."
