The Monroe County Water Authority is wrapping up a cleaning and cement mortar lining project on Stone Road and surrounding streets in Greece. This process is performed to improve water quality and hydraulics on older, structurally-sound water mains. We encountered some unanticipated but routine issues with this project, which resulted in a slight delay. These issues have since been addressed and the majority of the water main work is now complete. We are currently in the restoration phase of the project, which entails concrete, pavement and lawn restoration. The Water Authority said it hopes to finish the work as soon as possible, with the aim to have it completed sometime this fall.
