Alistair Findlay had served just two years of a life sentence for horrific child abuse when he died.
The 61-year-old - who had been previously jailed for trying to lure a little girl into a paedophile ring - was described as an "odious individual" by police after he was convicted following an investigation into abuse at a former Glasgow children's home.He was initially prosecuted and cleared in 1984 following allegations made by residents of Park Lodge in Newlands, which finally closed in 2008.
