In a video shared on social media platform X, Rapaport criticized previous attempts to establish peace between Israelis and Palestinians, stating that 'nothing’s worked.' He argued that Trump 's plan, while unconventional, offered a fresh perspective.
'We’ve tried with the peace accords, the normalizations, the two-state solutions, the this, that, and the third. Every f------ idea has been tried, discussed,' Rapaport said. 'I don’t know what to tell you. Something needs to happen,' he added, acknowledging the decades-long struggle for peace. Rapaport humorously suggested that Gaza could become one of Trump's real estate ventures, jokingly referring to it as 'Mar-a-Lago 2025, motherf-----!' 'Gaza Plaza 2025 motherf-----!’ He concluded his video by stating that the potential for US control over Gaza was less offensive than the ongoing violence and conflict. He also questioned why people were more disturbed by Trump's proposal than by the reality of the situation. This proposal comes after a ceasefire agreement was reached between Israel and Hamas in January, ending a recent war. Trump announced his plan during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He stated that the U.S. would take over the Gaza Strip and work to make it safe.
