Professional bowling is returning to Central Ohio for the first time in six years as the world’s top athletes prepare to compete in the 2026 Pilgrim’s PBA Ohio Classic. The Professional Bowlers Association announced that the week-long tournament will be hosted at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace later this month.
The event marks a significant return for the tour, which hasn't made a stop in Columbus since 2020. The tournament will feature a global field of professional bowlers competing for a title in one of the tour's premier stops. Highlighting the week's festivities is the "USA vs. The World" event scheduled for Saturday, followed by the championship finals on Sunday. Local organizers at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace say the event will bring international attention to the city's bowling scene."The week-long tournament will bring top professional bowlers from around the world to Columbus," organizers stated in a release.A 20-year-old Dublin man is in jail after being charged with arson in connection with a fire that damaged the deck of a home under construction, and investigatoThe beaver may soon be building in Richland County.A petition for annexation was filed last Friday with the City of Mansfield, Richland County, and Madison andOhio State President Walter “Ted” Carter Jr. has resigned after disclosing to university trustees that he had an inappropriate relationship with someone.A weekend of gun violence in Columbus left one teen dead and five others targeted in separate shootings, including a 12-year-old who was wounded in the leg.Gunf
