CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 activated its Media Action Center (MAC) on Saturday, October 28, in this camp to ensure the real-time release of accurate information to the media and public in the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections in the Caraga region on Monday, October 30.
CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 activated its Media Action Center in this camp on Saturday, October 28, for the barangay elections in the Caraga region on Monday, October 30.
The MAC will ensure the real-time release of accurate information to the media and public in the elections in the region, said Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer. POLICE Regional Office-13 chief Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft and Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer open a Media Action Center in Camp Rafael Rodriguez in Butuan City for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections on Monday, October 30. The MAC is manned by police personnel ready to assist the media, with a spokesperson on standby for queries and the conduct of press briefings if needed.
“As we approach the actual casting of votes, our responsibility is not only to maintain peace and order but also to empower the public with accurate and timely information,” Police Brig. Gen. John Kirby Kraft said.MACs were also established in city and provincial police offices and city and municipal police stations in the region.
