Principal at Patrick Henry High warns of anonymous threat [Breaking]
The principal at Patrick Henry High School warned parents early Wednesday that officials at the campus had learned of an anonymous threat of violence.
Principal Michelle Irwin sent an email to parents saying she had become aware of “an anonymous school shooting threat made against our school via an Instagram post.” She said school police were notified and were investigating the report at the 2,600-student campus on Wandermere Drive in the San Carlos community.
“At this time, we believe that we can open school and keep our learning community safe, while we continue our investigation,” irwin said in the email.A San Diego Unified School District spokesperson said school police believe the threat to be unsubstantiated and said all threats are taken seriously and investigated.
