This year's service will pay tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth.
"The carol service will celebrate and showcase the joy that human connection can bring: forging friendships and strengthening communities, creating legacies of humility and kindness, whilst also providing relief and comfort in times of difficulty or loss. The service will combine both traditional and modern elements, reaching people of all faiths and none," the press release from Kensington Palace reads.
Viewers can expect to see the storied London church lit up by various festive decorations. Featured talent will include carols sung by the abbey's world-renowned choir and musical performances and readings delivered by special guests from across the United Kingdom. Members of the British royal family, charity workers, volunteers, and armed forces personnel will be among the evening's attendees.Princess Kate hosts the 2021 royal Christmas service at Westminster Abbey.
