In another applaudable show of transparency and honesty from a royal family member, Catherine, Princess of Wales, shared an emotional cancer update to her and Prince William's shared social media accounts. In the heartwarming video, Middleton explains she has officially completed her preventative chemotherapy treatments, six months after she first announced her diagnosis.
"As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment," she says over clips of her and William holding hands while sitting on a picnic blanket, moments of the royal couple walking through an open field with their kids , and the family running through the ocean and playing card games, among many other sweet instances.
She continued: "With humility, also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything. This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved."This gratitude for the simpler things is reflected in Kate's choice of dress, too.
Blue has become an unofficial color of the Wales family , as they are often seen wearing various shades to public engagements. The video itself sees William and their children clad in blue shorts or shirts.in 2023 about Kate's affinity for the color: “It’s worth considering Catherine’s commitment to blue,” she said.
“What is so striking to us is the powerful femininity and softness she expresses,” Swanson Beard said. “It was beautiful to see her wearing our dress and pausing, reflecting, living slowly, taking care, healing, loving her family, and feeling blessed for her life.
