Princess Kate has gradually resumed her royal duties following her cancer battle last year. While she is not yet back to a full schedule, she has been seen at various engagements, including visiting patients at the Royal Marsden Hospital and taking a school bus trip to the National Portrait Gallery. In a message celebrating new gardens at the Natural History Museum, Kate spoke about the positive impact nature has had on her life.
Following Kate's diagnosis with an unspecified form of cancer early last year, she underwent a round of preventative chemotherapy. In September, she announced that her treatment had concluded in a video showing her and her family, including children Louis, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte, outside near their country home Anmer Hall on the Sandringham Estate.
Last month, the princess announced that she was 'in remission' from cancer following an engagement visiting patients at the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she underwent some of her own treatment. Though Kate picked up her pace of engagements over the course of January, the princess is still not returning to a full-time work schedule. On Tuesday, she traveled on a school bus with a group of children to the National Portrait Gallery. In a 2024 message celebrating new gardens at the Natural History Museum in London, Kate spoke about the impact that nature has made on her life. 'I know the power of nature to support our development and wellbeing, both by bringing us joy and helping to keep us physically, mentally and spiritually healthy,' she wrote in a July 2024 Instagram post.
