Princess Kate Middleton has announced that she is officially in remission after a cancer diagnosis earlier this year. She expressed her gratitude for the support she received and her hope for a fulfilling year ahead. The Princess will continue to support The Royal Marsden Hospital, working to advance cancer research and care.

On January 14, Kate Middleton, 43, shared the wonderful news that her cancer is in remission. In an Instagram post, the Princess of Wales expressed her heartfelt gratitude to those who have 'quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything.' Kate first disclosed her cancer diagnosis in March 2024. While she didn't reveal the specific type of cancer, she described the diagnosis as 'a huge shock.

' Kate Middleton has made a happy announcement: Her cancer is officially in remission, she said in a statement shared on January 14. 'It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal,' she said in an Instagram post thanking The Royal Marsden, a specialist oncology hospital in London. 'I am, however, looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead,' she continued. 'There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.' In her statement, Kate also extended her gratitude to everyone who has 'quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything.' 'We couldn’t have asked for more,' she said. 'The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional.'The Prince and Princess of Wales will both serve as Joint Patrons of The Royal Marsden going forward, she shared. 'My hope is, that by supporting groundbreaking research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family wellbeing, we might save many more lives, and transform the experience of all those impacted by cancer,' Kate wrote. Kate first revealed her cancer diagnosis in March 2024 after tests following a planned abdominal surgery in January found that cancer was present. She did not share the type, calling the diagnosis 'a huge shock.' 'William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,' she said. 'It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be okay.' At the time, her doctor advised that she undergo 'a course of preventative chemotherapy,' she shared in a video.Since then, Kate has made a few public appearances, including at Wimbledon and Christmas Day church services. On September 9, she shared that she completed her chemotherapy and is focused on 'remaining cancer-free.'
