Prince William has attended the fourth annual Earthshot Prize Awards in Cape Town, South Africa, wearing a sustainable outfit in keeping with the green carpet dress code
Prince William made a sustainable style statement on the green carpet at the Earthshot Prize Awards in Cape Town tonight, Wednesday 6 November. The Royal donned a second-hand double-breasted Prince of Wales check jacket, from a London Vintage store, while he also rocked white sustainable trainers from Purified Footwear – which produces plastic free, biodegradable sneakers - in keeping with the sustainable fashion ethos guests were asked to follow.
Model Winnie Harlow, who is presenting one of the awards, expressed her excitement about her involvement, saying: "I was really honoured to get a Royal letter asking if I could come here. I felt really honoured because I feel this should be something near and dear to everyone's heart when it comes to taking care of Mother Earth, the planet. I always think it's an honour", reports the Mirror.
Earlier today, Prince William spoke with British media about his love for Africa and expressed gratitude to South Africans for their "exuberance and energy" in hosting the fourth annual awards, which aim to find solutions to environmental problems plaguing our planet.
"But I brought the children along that journey and tonight I hope they are watching and they are proud of kind of what we are try to do here, which is to really galvanise that energy that enthusiasm to make real impact."
