Prince William is said to be considering some 'radical' changes to the monarchy when he takes the throne, including allowing his two youngest children to avoid becoming working royals.

Although Prince William is reportedly aware of the financial burden the monarchy places on taxpayers and is eager to reduce it according to the Mirror, such a dramatic reduction in the number of working royals might leave the Windsors understaffed. "The option isn't there for George, of course, but the children have been kept at arm's length from royal life. They are exposed to the minimum possible publicity, and that is a deliberate strategy to let Charlotte and Louis choose their own destiny."
Despite Prince Harry stepping back as a working royal, he initially hoped to continue serving the crown part-time, a notion deemed unfeasible in 2020 by the late Queen and the Royal household.
