Prince Harry and Meghan's residence was renovated with 2.4 million pounds ($3.06 million) of taxpayers' money, royal accounts revealed.

Royal accounts released Tuesday June 25, 2019, have revealed that the royal couple's home near Windsor Castle, called Frogmore Cottage, was renovated with 2.4 million pounds of taxpayers' money for the couple and their new son Archie.
The figures were part of the release of the royal family’s accounts, which showed that the British taxpayers spent 67 million pounds on the monarchy during 2018-19, a 41% increase on the previous financial year. Anti-monarchy campaign group Republic questioned why so much money was spent on the renovations at a time when public services are under financial pressure.
