Prince Harry keeps key role to stand in for King Charles when he cannot fulfil duties
He may have stepped down as a senior working royal back in 2020, but Prince Harry’s father King Charles has confirmed that the 38 year old will keep a key role to stand in for him when he cannot fulfil his official duties.
Charles, who celebrated his 74th birthday yesterday, said the aim of widening the pool of royals who could represent him was to "ensure continued efficiency of public business when I am unavailable". The former monarch died on September 8 at her Scottish home Balmoral with Charles and her daughter Princess Anne by her side.
