In their new docuseries, the couple reveals how they met through Instagram and share the details of their love story along with never before seen photos.

She, in turn, asked to see his Instagram feed: “It was just beautiful photographs and all these environmental shots,” she remembers. From there, Harry says, “they were constantly in touch.”
They eventually met in person on July 2016 when she was in town for Wimbledon. Their first date was at Soho House on Dean Street—and Harry was 30 minutes late. Despite the delay, they instantly hit it off. “We were like childlike together,” Meghan says. Their date lasted an hour, and that very evening, Meghan called and asked to see him again the next night for dinner. A few weeks later, they decided to take a leap of faith and go to Botswana together.
For the next few months, their relationship was long-distance. Harry admits he was “terrified” of Meghan being driven away by the intense press scrutiny his previous relationships had endured. “I knew the only way this could possibly work is by keeping it quiet for as long as possible,” he says. It worked until October 2016, when Harry’s press secretary notified the couple that a tabloid had the scoop on their relationship.
