The transaction reportedly took place on October 30, 2013, just over twelve years after bin Laden attacked America on Sept. 11, 2001. The Sunday Times reported that Charles accepted the funds despite being advised otherwise by Clarence House and the Prince of Wales Charitable Fund . A Clarence House spokesperson told Fox News' Digital that Charles did not personally accept the donation.
The outlet noted that neither Bakr nor Shafiq bin Laden have ever been tied to acts of terrorism. They are related to Usama by their father, Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden. He went on to become the wealthiest non-royal after founding the BinLadin Group, the outlet reported. He died in a plane crash in 1967.

Report: Prince Charles' Charity Got Donation From Bin LadensBritain’s Prince Charles is facing more questions over his charities after a newspaper reported that one of his funds accepted a 1 million-pound ($1.2 million) donation from relatives of Osama bin Laden. The Sunday Times reported that the Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund received the money in 2013 from Bakr bin Laden and his brother Shafiq. Both are half-brothers of the former al Qaida leader, who was killed by U.S. special forces in Pakistan in 2011. Charles’ Clarence House office said the decision to accept the money was taken by the charity’s trustees, not the prince. It said “thorough due diligence was undertaken in accepting this donation.”
