is based on Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey’s 2019 non-fiction book of the same title. The story follows the New York Times journalists who investigated the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse allegations leading to the subsequent #MeToo movement. She Said was generally welcomed with positive reviews for shedding some light on sexual harassment in industries beyond just Hollywood. The audience didn’t seem to respond to the movie as positively, though, as the film grossed $13.9 million at the box office during its theatrical run.
