Lorries will have to pay double the previous rate
Some vehicles will be charged double the usual rate to cross over Dunham Bridge as rates at the toll booth rise from July this year.
Agricultural vehicles will also be charged £2 at the bridge, but motorcyclists and cyclists will still be able to cross for free. An application was submitted to the Department for Transport last year, citing pressures on costs for a number of years as the primary reason behind requesting the toll price be increased.
“As there were objections to the proposed toll increases, a Public Enquiry was held in Lincoln in January 2023.
