Max has announced that Pretty Little Liars Summer School has been cancelled and will not return for PLL season 3.
After two thought-provoking, horror homage-laden seasons, the Pretty Little Liars spinoff series has been cancelled at Max , per a statement from the network. The show, which aired as Pretty Little Liars : Original Sin and Pretty Little Liars : Summer School for its first two seasons respectively, brought a new era of Liars into Rosewood's neighboring town of Millwood, Pennsylvania.
After Summer School aired on Max this past spring, fans had eagerly awaited news of a potential PLL season 3. Previous Pretty Little Liars spinoffs have not fared well, with backdoor pilot Ravenswood and later spinoff The Perfectionists each lasting only a season. The energy around Original Sin, however, seemed different, with writers and creators committed to reimagining the series in a new and legitimately scary way.
