Jake Gyllenhaal in court in Presumed Innocent

The Big Picture Apple TV+ has long been the home of some of the most intriguing and well-executed dramas out there and the trailer for Presumed Innocent teases that another winner is on the way. Jake Gyllenhaal stars in the crime thriller that serves as an adaptation of Scott Turow’s bestselling New York Times novel of the same name.

He finds that extra piece of passion in his coworker, Carolyn and the pair embark on a steamy and lust-driven affair. When Carolyn is murdered, Rusty may not immediately be the prime suspect, but his dirty laundry is one second away from being aired and putting him directly in the line of suspicion. The series will take audiences alongside investigators on a thrill ride to uncover who killed Carolyn and uncover the truth about Rusty.

Just as impressive as the cast behind the dramatized crime series is the creative team attached to it. The series hails from Emmy Award-winner David E. Kelley, the brain behind notable shows such as Big Little Lies, Goliath, Boston Legal, Ally McBeal, and more. Along for the ride as an executive producer is J.J.

Releasing in United States theaters on April 19, 2024, the movie also stars Henry Golding, Alan Ritchson, Alex Pettyfer, and more. “Based upon recently declassified files of the British War Department and inspired by true events, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is an action-comedy that tells the story of the first-ever special forces organization formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials including author Ian Fleming,” the synopsis for the film reads. “The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly ‘ungentlemanly’ fighting techniques. Ultimately their audacious approach changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare.” Gyllenhaal, meanwhile, previously starred in Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant, which was released in 2023
