Nadeem Ashfaq from The Light Foundation said: “Lucy Letby became only the third woman alive to be handed a whole-life jail term after being sentenced for murdering seven babies and trying to kill another six. “However, for an outraged British public, it seems that this sentence is not enough. A recent poll for The Spectator by Redfield & Wilton, shows that 66 per cent of people favour the death penalty as a just punishment.
“Leaders and organisations representing various faiths and non, have taken stances on the death penalty, often tying their views to beliefs about human dignity, retribution, and redemption.”on Thursday from 7.30pm.
