A pilot back in May saw the showroom close on a Sunday and that's now being made permanent and extended to further Bowker sites.
The firm now say the move, which has been popular with staff and customers, is to become the norm with Monday to Saturday being its operating days.John Nichol, for Bowker Motorrad at the Docks, said: “The decision by Bowker BMW and MINI to close on Sundays has been well received by both employees and customers. That has made it easier to introduce the new six-day opening at Bowker Motorrad as well.
“This change isn’t just about our employees; it’s also a nod towards greater sustainability. Reduced operational hours mean lower energy consumption, complementing our ongoing commitment to reducing our carbon footprint. As the six-day week becomes a permanent feature at Bowker Motorrad, it reminds us that we’re not just selling motorbikes; we’re also honouring values that balance work and leisure, customer satisfaction, and a sustainable future.
