Ryan Day is displaying confidence during Michigan week as his star receivers trend toward playing, and Bo Jackson could be the next freshman with a legendary rivalry performance.
There were even a few jokes that were cracked. Dave Holmes of ABC6 asked Day whether the week of The Game is fun, and Day's response drew a laugh from the media contingent gathered at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
"Fun is kicking ass," Day said. "That is what we want to do on Saturday. We're preparing to do that, and that's it. The fun part is winning. We'll save the fun for being in the locker room and celebrating after The Game." A loose, confident Ryan Day could benefit Ohio State. There's definitely been a psychological element to the Buckeyes' four-game losing streak against Michigan, and they played tight as a three-score favorite at home in last year's rendition before losing 13-10.. The simple message for quarterback Julian Sayin is"just win," and Day has confidence in his redshirt freshman to get the job done.
