President Trump is traveling to Florida to spend the weekend at his Mar-a-Lago resort. President Donald Trump said he is considering "winding down" operations in the Middle East, although the U.S. is sending more troops to theProtecting Middle East allies, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and others Trump spoke to reporters on the White House lawn en route to Palm Beach, Florida, for the weekend. According to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll, 55% of Americans said the war's effect on gas prices impacted their overall finances. “It's a simple military maneuver,” Trump told reporters outside the White House on Friday. “It's relatively safe, but you need a lot of help in the sense of you need ships -- you need volume. And NATO could help us, but they so far haven't had the courage to do so.” In his post to Truth Social, Trump wrote that protecting the Strait of Hormuz would be an "easy military operation ." "If asked, we will help these Countries in their Hormuz efforts, but it shouldn’t be necessary once Iran’s threat is eradicated," Trump wrote. The U.S. military is deploying three more warships and roughly 2,500 more Marines to the Middle East. The Pentagon also requested another $200 billion to fund the war, which would need congressional approval as the U.S.“Well, look, we can have dialogue, but I don’t want to do a ceasefire.
