Donald Trump Jr. is playing a leading campaign role after serving as a key surrogate for his father in 2016

In Florida, Mr. Trump Jr. appeared with girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host, and Rep. Matt Gaetz, , before posing for photos with attendees for about two hours. Some seemed downright giddy.
“You and your family have hurt a lot of people and have put a lot of people through a lot of pain, including the Khan family, who is a Gold Star family that I think should be respected for the loss of their son,” she said of Muslim-American Army Capt. Humayun Khan, who died in a car bombing in Iraq. “Does that make you feel good?”
In an interview, Mr. Trump Jr. said that targeting Mr. Mueller gave him little pause, noting the scrutiny he faced for participation in a Trump Tower meeting with a Russian lawyer linked to the Kremlin.The book went to press before the impeachment investigation into the president’s activities in Ukraine began.
