A preschool teacher is behind bars after he says his 'emotions got the best of him.'
On Tuesday, Alfredo Xavier Marmolejo, a teacher at the Excelled Montessori Preschool, was arrested after allegedly being caught on video physically assaulting three two-year-old children who attend the school.
Authorities say that when Child Safe Investigators arrived at the scene, they were presented with surveillance camera video taken from inside the classroom. Marmolejo can then be seen slapping a different two-year-old in the back of the head with his hand, causing the child to fall to the floor. The video ends with Marmolejo yelling at the first child, without checking on the two children he had just assaulted, before picking up items and kicking other items throughout the room.
