The Dallas Observer is excited to announce our 13th annual BrewFest. This year's event will take place, once again, downtown in the shed at the Dallas Farmers Market on Sept. 9 from 7 to 10 p.m.
and, in addition to the full sampling experience, you'll get entry into BrewFest an hour early at 6 p.m. for a full hour of shorter lines. You'll also have access to VIP bathrooms and free bites in the VIP area.
Presale tickets are available until June 11 at 11:59 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the public on June 12 at 10 a.m.All guests must be 21+, with a valid I.D. This event is rain, shine, wind or heat. Whatever Texas throws at us, we're rolling with it. A portion of proceeds will benefit North Texas Food Bank., it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Dallas, and we'd like to keep it that way.

You can get your say on Dallas' next bond package - KRLD NewsThe City of Dallas is making plans for a bond package that will go before voters in 2024. This week, the city is hosting a series of town hall meetings. Dallas Police and Fire have laid out initial priorities for the bond. Police say their needs total $462 million dollars. Dallas Fire Rescue is asking for $265 million.The money for police would include $5.7 million for maintenance and renovations at five stations. Dallas Police would also use $25 to $50 million to build a new training academy at UNT Dallas. The training academy could cost $150 million; Dallas Police say the rest of the money would come from state funds and grants.
