Staff Reports Anna Claire Free and Maleah Long combined to go 7-for-7 with eight runs batted in to lead G.W. Long in a 14-3 win over Ashford in high school softball action on Tuesday in Ashford.
For Ashford, Katelynn Money had two hits, including a double, and two runs batted in and Jalissiah Jackson hit a solo homer. Also for Opp , Bradleigh Lanier had two hits and two runs batted in, Taylor Adams had a single and two RBI and Madie Wilson and Jaidyn Ivey had a hit and RBI each. For Rehobeth, Regan Valenzuela had an RBI single and Maddie Williams had a double to highlight the Rebel offense.
Slocomb 5, Geneva 2: Emma Nichols and Cieara Baker combined on 12 strikeouts and allowed only three hits and two runs in Slocomb’s Class 4A, Area 3 win. Houston Academy 12, Dale County 0: Emily Adams pitched a five-inning, two-hit shutout with nine strikeouts and had two hits and a run batted in on offense in the Raiders’ Class 4A, Area 3 win over the Warriors.
Kynlee Watkins had three hits and two runs batted in and Kiley Jenkins had two hits to lead Headland. Shaylee Greathouse, Meryl Adams and Addy Davis added a hit and RBI each and Stormi Clemmons had an RBI sac fly and an RBI ground out. For the game, Robinson had three hits for Eufaula and Dowling had two hits and three RBI. Barnett and Abby Metcalf had two hits with Barnett driving in a run. Faircloth had a hit and two RBI.
