Staff Reports Providence Christian scored four runs in the third inning and three in the fifth to spark a 13-4 win over St. James at the FCA/Jason Armstrong Tournament in Montgomery in high school baseball action on Thursday.

Against Robertsdale, Bears’ pitcher Jackson Lyles pitched a no-hitter against Ariton, striking out nine and walking three. Lawson Leger, Myles Tyler and Hughes Hammock drew the walks for the Purple Cats. Bibb County 4, Headland 2: The Rams managed just three hits from Logan Ivey, Trey Scott and Ashton Trammell.Opp 5, Robertsdale 4 : Cash Harrell drove in the winning run with a double in the top of the eighth inning as the Bobcats won the extra-inning game in the Terry Sikes Memorial Tournament in Troy.Porter Nelson got the win in relief.

Oak Mountain 5, G.W. Long 0: The Rebels were shutout by Oak Mountain in a Terry Sikes Tournament game.Northside Methodist 6, Slocomb 3: The bottom four in the Northside Methodist batting order combined on five hits and three runs batted in to pace the Knights over Slocomb. Cade Birge had two hits to lead Slocomb. Jaxon Langham and Brody Keel both added a hit and RBI with Langham’s hit a double.Browning Anderson was 2-for-3 to lead the Eufaula offense. Reed Hinton and Ty McCoy both drove in a run. Anderson, a catcher, also threw out three players trying to steal.

Colton Franklin had a sacrifice fly to drive in one run and Brody White had an RBI. Jacob Shiver had two hits.Dale County 10, Geneva County 2: Kade Smith struck out 13 over six innings and allowed four hits and Maddox Weed didn’t allow a hit and struck out two in pitching the final inning. In Game 1, New Brockton won 14-3 as Green drove in five runs with three hits and Hand had a hit and three RBI.

Whit Price had two hits, one a triple, and drove in two runs for HA and Cam Dyer had a double and a RBI. Boyd, Martin Andre, Ty Morris and Kadyn Mitchell all had a single and RBI. Miller walked to open the inning, moved to second on Eli Jones' sac bunt and scored on the Simmons hit. Pike Liberal Arts 18, Goshen 2: The Patriots picked up a Class 2A, Area 4 win over Goshen for the second straight day.
