People buying Bonds have to purchase at least £25 worth
NS&I has issued a warning to Premium Bonds customers, stating that there are certain circumstances where they cannot purchase Bonds. An individual queried the provider over X, asking: "Am I able to buy Bonds for my adult child without them knowing? " Customers often buy Bonds as gifts for relatives.
Parents or legal guardians can apply online, by phone or by post, while others can buy Bonds for the child online or by post. Each £1 Bond enters the monthly prize draw with an equal chance of winning. Another customer recently reached out to NS&I due to difficulties purchasing Bonds. In response, the provider stated: "There isn't currently a process where we can receive the documents via email. However, if you were to send the funds to the parents, they can open the account for their child online and upload the documents online."
