Date published: Monday 13th February 2023 9:37 -Tottenham have failed in their attempts to sign former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster to cover for injured captain Hugo Lloris, according to reports.
Fraser Forster has now stepped into Lloris’ shoes but Tottenham got off to a terrible start without their number one as Leicester put four past them on SaturdaySpeaking ahead of the match against the Foxes, Tottenham assistant boss Cristian Stellini was confident that Forster can provide adequate cover for Lloris.“His behaviour in this season was perfect. Every day he pushes himself to train really hard and with this behaviour he pushes Hugo to train very hard.
“I like Fraser. The difference between Hugo is we start to think physically. He is a keeper perfect for the Premier League style, for the type of game we are going to play in the Premier League and he uses both feet when he plays with the ball.
