A pregnant woman’s baby died after a Sunday crash in York that police say was caused by a speeding driver who ran a red light,
The woman was the front-seat passenger in a Honda Odyssey that Jaheim L. Alford, 20, crashed into at North Sherman and East Philadelphia Street at about 7 p.m. Sunday, according to Coroner Pamela Gay. The baby died at a hospital two and a half hours after the crash. An autopsy was completed Tuesday. The cause and manner of death had not yet been determined and were both marked as “pending,” by the coroner on Wednesday.
