Pregnancy Complications, Not Maternal Health, Linked to Autism in Children

A new study published by NYU Langone Health suggests that pregnancy complications related to the fetus, rather than maternal health diagnoses, are associated with autism in children. Researchers analyzed over 1.1 million pregnancies and found that after accounting for various confounding factors, only fetal pregnancy complications remained statistically linked to autism.
