Irving parents and guardians of pre-school aged children can register their children for pre-kindergarten beginning Friday.

The district offers free and tuition-based pre-K for 3- and 4-year-olds, including bilingual programs for English and Spanish speakers.

Children who turn three by Sept. 1 can attend half-day pre-K at one of the district’s early childhood schools: Clifton, Kinkeade or Pierce. Children who turn four by Sept. 1 and qualify for free pre-K will attend at one of the district’s 20 elementary schools; tuition-based pre-K students will attend one of the early childhood schools.
