LaTanya Lisa Lee, 31, was arrested on June 30 at around 2 a.m. in Charles County, the sheriff’s office said.
According to a news release, officers responded to Mall Circle at about 2:05 a.m. for the report of a hit-and-run crash. A Prince George’s County corrections officer was charged with assault and driving while intoxicated after authorities say she drove a vehicle into another car and fled before crashing again into the police cruiser of the officers who responded to the initial collision.

A spokesperson for the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections confirmed that Lee works as a corrections officer in the county.According to the sheriff’s office news release, the sheriff’s officers responded to Mall Circle at about 2:05 a.m. for the report of a hit-and-run crash. Officers said they saw the driver, later identified as Lee, in the parking lot, but when they tried to stop her she fled again.
The officers tried to stop Lee, according to the news release, but she drove into two patrol cars and injured an officer, then attempted to flee for a third time.
